Well, here I am at the end of my journey. There were some frustrating moments at the beginning (kept forgetting what password I had used), but once I got motivated, I started to motor along. I did learn some new things and I am now addicted to viewing funny cat videos on YouTube, but overall, I'm glad I persevered...knowledge is always a good thing.

Thing #23
Well, when it came to ebooks/audiobooks I didn't really see anything that I was particularly interested in...I still like my 'hard copy' books, but maybe some day. I recently was reading about the Kindle (hand held wireless machine with the printed page displayed) and I thought this was a cool idea...maybe one day soon in a library near you?

Podcasts...didn't work out very well for me...I found it frustrating...I couldn't find anything I was interested in...not very user friendly.
Thing #21
Ahhh, YouTube...after amusing myself with funny cat videos,(poor Nancy and Cathy out at Circ were wondering what I kept laughing at back here at the computer), I did try to find something with the word "library" in it..."Library Prank" was cute...it seems that humour drives many of the videos...controversy the other popular theme - not really sure about its library applications though.

Of course I had to ask a question pertaining to Canadian requirements for registering marriages performed in Hawaii. I loved this service-I imagine it would be great for someone who was computer literate but maybe not able to navigate the net (I'm thinking of someone like my mother!), but I would love to use this again!

I found this assignment fun! Had to tear myself away from looking up info I was interested in! Thought it would be a great place for patrons...I found what I was looking for and thought it was all easy to use.

Office 2007...loved the demos...I reviewed how to do tables in Word and realized how dull my documents have been...I vow to use more tables now that that it seems more user friendly to set them up and modify them. I would love to go back here and spend some more time looking at demos because sometimes you think you know how to do something and discover a new way!
